सहारा इंडिया के शीर्ष अधिकारी वीएस डोगरा का सरकारी गवाह बनना कॉरपोरेट की भाषा में ‘रिस्क मैनेजमेंट’ है!

सहारा इंडिया के शीर्ष अधिकारी वीएस डोगरा का सरकारी गवाह बनना कोई अचानक हुआ ‘हृदय परिवर्तन’ या नैतिकता का नोबेल प्राइज जीतने की कोशिश नहीं है। यह विशुद्ध रूप से एक ‘कॉरपोरेट सर्वाइवल स्ट्रैटेजी’ है। इसे ईडी की डूबती नाव से कूदकर ‘इम्यूनिटी’ की लाइफ-जैकेट पहनने का क्लासिक उदाहरण कहिए। कल तक जो पावर कॉरिडोर के ‘की-प्लेयर’ थे, आज उन्होंने अपनी पोजिशन री-ब्रांड कर ली है, “पहले मलाई खाओ, फिर तोता बन जाओ।”

​इतिहास गवाह है कि जब गर्दन फंसती है, तो नैतिकता के मायने बदल जाते हैं। लखनऊ, उत्तर रेलवे के उस दिग्गज इंजीनियर (डीएससी सी) का किस्सा याद कीजिए? 2 करोड़ कैश, 25 साल का लंबा ट्रायल और सीबीआई का शिकंजा। सारे रास्ते बंद थे, लेकिन जैसे ही धर्मपत्नी ने कोर्ट में हलफनामा देकर फरमाया कि “यह पैसा मेरी अनैतिक कमाई (वेश्यावृत्ति) का है”, कानून नतमस्तक हो गया। तकनीकी रूप से पैसा ‘जस्टिफाई’ हो गया और इंजीनियर साहब ‘क्लीन चिट’ लेकर बाइज्जत बाहर आ गए।

डोगरा साहब का सरकारी गवाह बनना उसी ‘लिगेसी’ का डिजिटल अपडेट है। फर्क सिर्फ इतना है कि वहां ‘पत्नी का हलफनामा’ ढाल बना था, यहां ‘सरकारी गवाही’ का सौदा ढाल बना है। कॉरपोरेट की भाषा में इसे ‘रिस्क मैनेजमेंट’ कहते हैं, लेकिन आम जुबान में यह वही पुराना फॉर्मूला है: “पाप करो, पोल खोलो और पवित्र हो जाओ।”

​लेकिन, यहाँ एक बड़ा सवाल खड़ा होता है। कोर्ट की फाइलों में ‘बाइज़्ज़त’ बरी हो जाना एक बात है, और समाज की नज़रों में इज़्ज़त बचा पाना दूसरी। क्या उस इंजीनियर और उसके परिवार को उस ‘जीत’ के बाद समाज में कभी वो सम्मान मिल पाया? शायद नहीं। और अभी तक नहीं।

​अब देखना यह है कि डोगरा साहब, जो आज सरकारी गवाह बनकर अपनी चमड़ी तो बचा ले जाएंगे, लेकिन क्या अपने परिवार, खानदान और समाज में वो ‘साख’ बचा पाएंगे? या फिर उनकी कहानी भी उसी इंजीनियर की तरह याद रखी जाएगी— जहाँ आदमी ने मुकदमा तो जीत लिया, लेकिन चरित्र हार गया।

Subject: Resignation on Medical Grounds

Respected Sir(s),

With a heavy heart and profound respect, I wish to inform you that over the past few months my health has deteriorated significantly. I am currently undergoing active treatment at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, under the care of Dr. Bhuvan Chandra Tiwari, Professor & Head, Department of Cardiology.

I have been experiencing persistent chest pain, worsening with physical exertion, along with disturbed sleep and abnormal vital parameters. In view of my condition, I have been strictly advised complete rest, continuation of cardiac medication, and regular medical evaluation. I have also been specifically instructed to avoid travel and any form of physical strain, as the same may seriously endanger my health.

In addition, I continue to suffer from long-standing orthopaedic ailments, including knee and ACL-related issues, which substantially restrict prolonged sitting, standing, and travel. The combined impact of these conditions has left me physically incapacitated and unable to discharge my professional responsibilities effectively. Further, in view of persistent chest pain without relief, I have been advised to undergo coronary angiography and angioplasty.

In these unfortunate circumstances, and with deep regret, I find myself medically unfit to continue rendering my services to the organisation. I therefore humbly tender my resignation with immediate effect. I shall, however, remain available on phone for any clarification or assistance required to ensure a smooth transition.

I do not have any material or document of the Sahara Group.

I respectfully request that my pending dues be cleared at the earliest, as I am presently facing severe financial stress due to ongoing medical treatment.

I remain forever grateful for the guidance, support, and opportunities extended to me during my association with Sahara India Pariwar.
