नई दिल्ली : बड़ी संख्या में छात्र-छात्राओं एवं युवाओं ने गत दिनो एम्स पर जोरदार विरोध प्रदर्शन करते हुए रजिस्ट्रार (एम्स प्रशासन, दिल्ली) डॉ. संजीव लालवानी से एक छात्रा के साथ दुराचार के आरोपी मनोज कुमार के खिलाफ तुरंत कार्रवाई की मांग की। छात्र छात्राओं ने पूरे एम्स दिल्ली परिसर में शांति मार्च किया और ‘WE WANT JUSTICE’ के नारे के साथ न्याय की मांग की। इस शांति प्रदर्शन में मुख्य रूप से सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता विजय बाबा, फिल्म डायरेक्टर मयंक मधुर, 16 दिसम्बर क्रांति के कार्यकर्ताओं, भारतीय स्वराज मंच, यंग इंडिया यूथ की आवाज़ के कार्यकर्ताओं समेत सैकड़ों लोगों ने हिस्सा लिया।
उल्लेखनीय है कि गत वर्ष (एफआईआर संख्या 947/14) यह मामला हौजखास पुलिस थाने में दर्ज हुआ था, जिसमें नार्थ ईस्ट की आईसीएमआर की छात्रा को हवस का शिकार बनाने वाले मुख्य आरोपी मनोज कुमार को गिरफ्तार करने की मांग की गई थी। आरोपी मनोज कुमार श्यामपुर, आदापुर, मोतिहारी बिहार का रहने वाला है और वह एम्स दिल्ली में पीएचडी स्कॉलर है। अपराध करने के इतने दिन बाद भी एम्स प्रशासन आरोपी को अपने होस्टल और लैब में रहने से भी नहीं रोक सका है।
सूत्रों से पता चला है कि एम्स प्रशासन मनोज कुमार को तत्काल प्रभाव से डिग्री अवार्ड करने की पूरी तैयारी कर रहा है। छात्र और युवाओं ने तुरंत आरोपी के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करने के लिए एक ज्ञापन भी एम्स प्रशासन को दिया। ज्ञापन में विशाखा गाइड लाइन के तहत आरोपी को तुरंत संस्थान से बर्खास्त करने, संस्थान खाली करने और संस्थान में उसके प्रवेश पर तुरंत रोक लगाने की मांग की गई है। ज्ञापन लेते हुए एम्स दिल्ली के रजिस्ट्रार ने प्रदर्शनकारी छात्र-छात्राओं एवं युवाओं को दस अप्रैल 2015 से पहले आरोपी के खिलाफ कार्रवाई का भरोसा दिया।
पीड़ित छात्रा घटना के दिन से अब तक न्याय की उम्मीद में हर उस दरवाज़े पर दस्तक देती रही, जहाँ से उसे इंसाफ पाने का भरोसा था लेकिन छह महीने के संघर्ष और न्याय की गुहार के बावजूद उसकी आज तक कहीं सुनवाई नहीं हो सकी है। पीड़िता अब तक प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय, केन्द्रीय स्वाथ्य मंत्री जे.पी नड्डा, महिला एवं बाल विकास कल्याण मंत्री मेनका गाँधी, केन्द्रीय मंत्री रामविलास पासवान, मधेपुरा सांसद पप्पू यादव, डिप्टी डायरेक्टर एम्स दिल्ली श्रीनिवासन, तत्कालीन एम्स सीवीओ संजीव चतुर्वेदी तक गुहार लगाकर थक जाने के बाद अब छात्र-छात्राओं और युवाओं की मदद से सड़क पर उतरने को मजबूर हुई है।

Last year, on 27th of August 2014, FIR was registered in Hauz Khaz Police Station belonging to FIR no. 947/14. The accused Manoj Kumar has raped a student of ICMR, New Delhi, belonging to North East state. The accused belongs to Shyampur, Adapur, Motihari, Bihar.
Even after committing such a heinous crime and also been found guilty of sexual harassment in full public view at victims institute. The rapist has been allowed to stay AIIMS campus and he is still pursuing his PhD.
The protesters has given a memorandum asking for necessary action to be taken by the authorities till 10 April 2015. The memorandum includes demands for immediate suspension of the accused as per Vishakha guidelines debarring the accused from entering the AIIMS campus and evacuate his hostel room. These 3 demands has been put before the AIIMS authorities.
The victim has been knocking every door for the past 7 months for justice but not a single assurance has been given though PMO, health minister J.P. Nadda, WCD minister Maneka Gandhi, Central minister Ram Vilas Paswan, HRD minister for state Upender Khushwaha, MP Pappu Yadav, Deputy Director of AIIMS, then AIIMS CVO Sanjeev Chaturvedi, all assured help but no proper action has been taken till yet.
When will this brutality stop in India? If such heinous crimes can happen in a premier institute like AIIMS, which is shielding a rapists than how come people living in far remote places ensure safety and security.
The protesters march across AIIMS campus Delhi, shouting slogans, “We want Justice”. Among the protesters there were social activists Vijay Baba, film director Mayank Madhur, 16 December Kranti activists, Bhartiya Swaraj Manch and “Young India Youth ki Awaaz”, were present.
