ट्विटर-फेसबुक के जरिए इस्तीफे की घोषणा करना चलन बन चुका है. सागरिका घोष ने भी ट्विटर के जरिए अपनी नौ वर्षीय लंबी पारी की समाप्ति का ऐलान किया. कल उन्होंने लेट नाइट ट्विट किया- “Goodbye CNN-IBN. God bless!” सागरिका इस चैनल में डिप्टी एडिटर हुआ करती थीं. सागरिका घोष डीडी के पूर्व डायरेक्टर जनरल भास्कर घोष की बेटी हैं. अपने पति राजदीप सरदेसाई के साथ सागरिका भी छुट्टी पर चल रही थीं.
मुकेश अंबानी ने जब नेटवर्क18 खरीद लिया तो उसी के बाद इस ग्रुप के शीर्ष पदों पर काबिज लोगों की विदाई शुरू हो गई. माना जा रहा है कि राजदीप भी अपनी पत्नी के पदचिन्हों पर चलते हुए जल्द इस्तीफा दे देंगे. चर्चा है कि सागरिका घोष अब अरुण पुरी के हेडलाइंस टुडे में जा सकती हैं. सागरिका ने अपने साथियों को एक संदेश भेजकर काफी कुछ बातें कही हैं. उन्होंने लिखा है-

CNN-IBN has not only been an integral part of my life for almost every waking minute these past years, but more important, working with you has been a joy and an honour. A free fearless press is the infrastructure of democracy–without it the term “citizenship” is diminished indeed. CNNIBN was always free and responsible! That’s why it became such an incredible success, so beloved of viewers. We created magic and that magic touched millions of lives, and the magic will remain with each of us always!
