आईपीएस अफसर अमिताभ ठाकुर ने दावा किया है कि आगरा के जालसाज सपा नेता शैलेंद्र अग्रवाल का जिन दो पूर्व डीजीपी के साथ पैसे के लेन देन के संपर्क का खुलासा हुआ है वे ए एल बनर्जी और ए सी शर्मा हैं.
उन्होंने कहा कि दरोगा की पोस्टिंग का रेट सात लाख रुपया फिक्स करने सम्बंधित एक एसएमएस और उस पर डीजीपी के एसएमएस द्वारा सहमति देने की बात आई है. इसी प्रकार डीपीसी के लिए एक दरोगा का रेट 20 लाख रुपया तय करने के शैलेन्द्र अग्रवाल के एसएमएस का एसएमएस के माध्यम से सहमति भेजने वाले एक अन्य डीजीपी की बात भी सामने आई है.
श्री ठाकुर का कहना है कि उन्होंने इनके सम्बन्ध में व्यक्तिगत स्तर पर जानकारी हासिल की है और उन्हें ज्ञात हुआ है कि सात लाख रुपया फिक्स करने वाले डीजीपी ए एल बनर्जी हैं जबकि डीपीसी का 20 लाख रेट तय करने वाले डीजीपी ए सी शर्मा हैं.
श्री ठाकुर ने मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव और वर्तमान डीजीपी ए के जैन को पत्र लिख कर इन दोनों पूर्व डीजीपी के खिलाफ भ्रष्टाचार के इतने गंभीर मामले के ठोस साक्ष्य मिलने के बाद कठोर कार्यवाही की मांग की है.

He said an SMS by Shailendra fixing 7 lakh rupees rate for posting of SI and its acceptance by an ex-DGP through SMS has come. Other SMSes where rate of 20 lakh rupees for Departmental Promotion of Sub Inspectors have been agreed upon between Shailendra and another DGP have also come up.
Sri Thakur said that he made deep personal investigation in the matter and came to know that A L Banerjee is the DGP who fixed 7 lakh posting rate while A C Sharma is the ex-DGP who fixed 20 lakh DPC rate.
Sri Thakur has written to CM Akhilesh Yadav and DGP A K Jain seeking strong action against these two DGPs after emergence of such definite proof of corruption.
