मुंबई : महिला कंपार्टमेंट में देर रात घुसकर ‘दोपहर सामना’ की पत्रकार मनीषा गुरव को लूटने का मामला विधानसभा में छाया रहा। पूर्व विधानसभा अध्यक्ष दिलीप वलसे पाटील ने गुरव के साथ लूटपाट की घटना को स्थगन प्रस्ताव के माध्यम से सदन में उठाया।
पाटील ने कहा कि अखबार के दफ्तर में देर रात तक ड्यूटी करके अपने घर जा रही मनीषा गुरव का मोबाइल व अन्य सामान डिब्बे में घुसकर असामाजिक तत्वों ने लूट लिया। यह गंभीर बात है। इस सदन में चर्चा होनी चाहिए। राज्य की कानून व्यवस्था इतनी बिगड़ गई है कि देर रात ड्यूटी से घर लौटती महिला पर हमला किया गया। अध्यक्ष हरिभाऊ बागड़े ने कहा कि यह मामला स्थगन प्रस्ताव का नहीं है। उन्होंने निर्देश दिया कि सरकार इसे गंभीरता से ले।
इस बीच कल पत्रकारों के एक प्रतिनिधि मंडल ने राज्यपाल विद्या सागर राव से मिलकर एक ज्ञापन भी दिया। इस दौरान नेहा पुरव, प्रवीण पुरव, आदित्य दुबे, मनीषा रेगे, संदीप शुक्ला, सोनू श्रीवास्तव, पूनम अपराज, मोफीद खान आदि उपस्थित रहे।

A suspect was detained by the GRP on Thursday in a day-old case where a woman journalist was molested and robbed on a Central Railway local. The GRP has procured CCTV footage of Kalwa station that shows the accused rushing into a second class compartment and leaving it 10 to 15 seconds later with a phone. The face of the accused cannot be seen clearly.
“We picked up the suspect on the basis of his description given by the journalist as well as what the CCTV grabs show. We believe he was travelling on the same train in another compartment. At Kalwa station, he got off and boarded the journalist’s coach. We are not ruling out the possibility that the accused may have kept watch on her,” a senior police officer said.
The journalist, who works in a Hindi daily, was travelling from Mulund to her residence in Dombivli when the incident was reported around 1.30am on Wednesday. She said the compartment was not guarded by an escort.
GRP officials said on Thursday that only 24-hour women’s coaches are escorted. “The journalist was travelling in a ladies’ coach that is converted into a general coach between 11pm and 7am. This coach is not assigned a guard,” a GRP spokesperson said. The journalist insists she travelled in a 24-hour ladies’ coach when the incident occurred.
“A team of seven has been formed to trace the accused,” said AG Khan, ACP, Kalyan railway division.
A journalists’ delegation met Maharashtra governor C Vidyasagar Rao at Raj Bhavan on Thursday. “I will ask the government to expedite investigations and arrest the culprit at the earliest,” Rao said.
