Scope and Impact:
As an individual technical contributor in the Android Application team, the position will influence the overall architecture and work on design of the cutting edge applications and implement various innovative experiences based on Android architecture. Mobile applications are central to our strategy and will play a major role in developing innovative client applications.
Responsibilities:
The position will be responsible for development and support of NDTV’s Android Application stack and the core platform. It will also be responsible be development of new features and customization of Android Applications and libraries. In addition the job will also be responsible for inception, design, implementation, deployment and support.
Mandatory:
1. B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science or related field from a reputed university with good academic record
2. 3-7 years of Relevant experience in Android, Core Java and Linux
3. Should have strong expertise in OOPS, OOAD, Design patterns, Data Structures
Preferred Skills:
1. Good working experience on Android Application Development with Java, Android SDK, Android Debugger
2. Should have sound understanding of Android Architecture and Framework
3. Expert in Android UI components & controls
4. Proficient in basic components of Android: Activity, Services, Intent, Broadcast Receiver, Content Provider, API
5. Good understanding of Java Script, Shell Script and XML Parser.
6. Good working experience on Web Service Integration
7. Deep knowledge of Linux Concepts of Multi-threading / Scheduling / IPC / Memory Management.
8. Experience with Linux/Android architecture and implementation
9. Excellent debugging skill and hands on experience of debugging tools
10. Disciplined self-starter, able to be highly productive both working alone and in close collaboration within a team
11. Ability to take ownership of projects and multi-task
