Dear colleagues,
As I write this letter, my heart is filled with a profound sense of gratitude and emotions. After twenty incredible years with ABP Network Pvt. Ltd., the moment has come for me to say goodbye and step into the next chapter of my life. Please refer to the attached note.
I had put in my papers some weeks ago, but as desired and agreed with our Chief Editor, I wanted to see through your appraisals, increments, bonuses and give a direction for future on several on-going projects. I am sure you all have got your performance appraisal letters today.
I joined this company in 2005 as AVP in Ad-Sales department, and leaving today as the CEO of your organisation. It was a privilege to work as the CEO of this great organisation for more than 5 + years. Being a media professional, one had the opportunity to see and feel massive changes in society, polity & shifts in consumer preferences and behaviour. These two decades have been a remarkable journey which began with just a single Hindi news channel. Now we have a network of four 24×7 news channels in four Indian languages. We had zero digital presence in 2005, now we have 100M MAU in 8 Indian languages of our digital products. We have a content studio business where we have been proudly making content for GEC and special interest channels. Today ABP Network is the most impactful network touching lives of over 500 million people.
Working here was most beautiful experience of my life, I have met some amazing people here, who are not only incredibly talented, but also very fine human beings. They are the ones who make this company ‘humane’ in our industry and I am lucky to have met them.
I am thankful to the Sarkar family for constant support and guidance that they have given me. Atideb Sarkar, our Chief Editor, has been my boss for the last 8 years, and what I and network have achieved in the last 8 years would not have been possible without his absolute trust on me. It would not be an exaggeration that I have found in him great friend forever.
To my leadership team, thank you for your vision, support, and for standing by me through thick and thin. Your expertise and dedication have been the pillars of our success. Together, we have navigated the evolving media landscape, embracing new technologies and innovative approaches to stay ahead.
As I move on, I am filled with confidence that ABP Network will continue to soar to new heights. Our foundation is strong, built on the values of integrity, excellence, and a commitment to our viewers.
Thank you for making the last twenty years the most fulfilling and rewarding of my professional life. I will carry the memories and lessons from our time together with me always.
