घायल महेंद्र आसाराम आश्रम का राजफाश करने वाला था

आसाराम मामले के गवाह महेंद्र चावला पर कल पानीपत में हुए हमले पर मुज़फ्फरनगर में गवाह अखिल गुप्ता मामले में मृतक पक्ष की ओर से न्याय दिलाने में मदद कर रहे यूपी कैडर के आईपीएस अफसर अमिताभ ठाकुर ने हरियाणा के डीजीपी को पत्र लिख कर इस घटना में आसाराम बापू एंगल देखने का अनुरोध किया है.

ठाकुर ने अपने पत्र में कहा है कि चावला ने खुद उनके बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त कर उनसे 01 मई 2015 को सुबह लगभग 10 बजे फोन पर लम्बी बातचीत की और यहाँ बताया था कि वे आसाराम बापू के आश्रमों की सच्चाई उजागर करने में लगे हुए हैं. ठाकुर के अनुसार चावला ने कहा था कि उनके पास आसाराम के आश्रमों की अनियामितातों से जुड़ी काफी जानकारियाँ हैं और उन्होंने ठाकुर से उत्तर प्रदेश के आश्रमों की गड़बड़ियों को सामने लाने में मदद करने को कहा था.

ठाकुर ने कहा कि महेंद्र चावला ने बातचीत में कई बार अपनी जान का खतरा बताया था, अतः उन्होंने इस एंगल पर विशेष ध्यान देने का निवेदन किया. उन्होंने पत्र की प्रति केन्द्रीय गृह सचिव को ऐसे सभी मामलों को एक साथ देखे जाने और यूपी के डीजीपी को अखिल हत्या का शीघ्र अनावरण और मृतक के परिवार और उनकी और उनकी पत्नी डॉ नूतन ठाकुर की मामले की पैरवी करने के कारण यथेष्ट सुरक्षा सुनिशिचित करने हेतु भेजा है.

IPS officer Amitabh Thakur, who is pursuing the murder case of Asaram follower Akhil Kumar Gupta in Muzaffarnagar, today wrote to DGP Haryana requesting him to look into Asaram angle in yesterday’s fatal attack on witness Mahendra Chawla in Panipat.

Thakur said that he had got a call from Chawla on 01 May 2015 morning when Chawla had said that he  is soon going to unearth many hidden facts about Asaram’s Ashrams. As per Thakur, Chawla said that he had many important information about the massive irregularities in these Ashram and he sought Thakur’s support in undertaking this work in UP.

Thakur said that Mahendra Chawla had specifically mentioned about threat to his life and hence requested DGP Haryana to focus particularly on this angle. He sent a copy of the letter to Union Home Secretary with request to see all the incidence related with Asaram witnesses in a holistic manner and to DGP, UP requesting him to get Akhil Gupta murder case unraveled at the earliest and to ensure adequate security of Akhil’s family members as that of his and his wife Dr Nutan Thakur, who are diligently pursuing the matter.
