आयुष मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार ने आरटीआई एक्टिविस्ट डॉ नूतन ठाकुर को उपलब्ध करायी गयी सूचना में बताया है कि वर्ष 2015 तथा 2016 में उसके द्वारा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस पर कुल 34.50 करोड़ रुपये खर्च किये गाये थे. इनमे 16.40 करोड़ वर्ष 2015 तथा 18.10 करोड़ वर्ष 2016 में खर्च किये गए. जन सूचना अधिकारी बनमाली नायक द्वारा उपलब्ध करायी सूचना में कहा गया है कि अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस 2017 में मंत्रालय के खर्च की अंतिम गणना नहीं हुई है. जन सूचना अधिकारी ने यह स्पष्ट कर दिया है कि यह आयुष विभाग का खर्च है और योग दिवस पर हुआ पूरा खर्च उपलब्ध नहीं है. उन्होंने इन खर्चों से जुड़े पत्रावली के नोटशीट और अभिलेख सैकड़ों पृष्ठों में होने के आधार पर देने से मना कर दिया.
34.50 crores in 2 years on Yoga Day
As per the information provided by Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India to RTI activist Dr Nutan Thakur, a total of Rs. 34.50 crores has been spent by the Ministry on the celebration of International Yoga Day in 2015 and 2016. This includes Rs. 16.40 crores for 2015 and Rs. 18.10 crores for 2016. The information provided by CPIO Banamali Naik says that the total expenditure on International Yoga Day 2017 has not been finalized as yet. The CPIO has made it clear that this is the expenditure incurred by the AYUSH Ministry and the total expenditure on Yoga Day is not available. He declined to provide the copy of the Notesheet and documents as regards these expenses saying they are too bulky and run in hundreds of pages.
