DD Bharati channel, touted as the cultural heritage of India, is a niche art and cultural television channel of Doordarshan. Since its modest beginning in 2002, the channel has made its way to the audiences’ heart as a one stop solution to whet their cinematic appetite.
The channel has readied plans to live telecast the opening ceremony of the 14th edition of the Mumbai International Festival for Documentary, Short and Animation Films, popularly known as MIFF on January 28th from 4:30 pm onwards. The opening ceremony will be telecast live on DD National channel as well. The biennial event will feature 30 films in the International segment, including 12 from India, and 27 films in National segment, competing for the Golden Conch Award. This year the festival will screen a total of 385 films over the six-day event.
