आईपीएस अफसर अमिताभ ठाकुर के खिलाफ अब सतर्कता जांच भी शुरू हो गयी है. आईजी कार्मिक बी पी जोगदंड की ओर से श्री ठाकुर को भेजे पत्र में कहा गया है कि वे अपना और अपने पर आधारित व्यक्तियों के सम्पूर्ण चल-अचल संपत्ति का विवरण 19 जुलाई 2015 तक प्रस्तुत करें.

इन विवरण में इनमे से प्रत्येक संपत्ति किसके नाम है, किस तिथि को संपत्ति ली गयी, किस माध्यम से संपत्ति अर्जित की गयी, संपत्ति बेचने वाले का पता, दी गयी धनराशि, पैसा देने का सोर्स, किस माध्यम से पैसा दिया गया और सरकार को इसकी सूचना दी गयी अथवा नहीं के बारे में बताया जाना है.
ठाकुर का कहना है कि वे विजिलेंस जांच का स्वागत करते हैं क्योंकि यह आपको अपनी सत्यता बताने का अवसर देता है और ऐसा कोई भी शंका उत्पन्न होने पर होना भी चाहिए पर यादव सिंह मामले में सीबीआई जाँच के पुरजोर विरोध और किसी ख़ास घटना के बाद अचानक तेजी अपने आप कई सारे प्रश्न पैदा करता है.

Vigilance enquiry has been initiated against IPS officer Amitabh Thakur.
He has been directed by IG Karmik B P Jogdand to submit the details of immoveable and moveable properties of his own and that of his dependents to the IG Karmik by 19 July 2015. The details asked are in whose name is each of these property is held, date of acquisition, mode of acquisition, address from whom acquired, price paid, source from which payment was made and mode of payment and intimation given to the Government.
When asked, Sri Thakur said he has already submitted a large number of these information to the Government in the Lokpal Act and shall try to give the information as soon as possible. He said one shall always welcome such enquiries as they give you an opportunity to prove your genuineness and they must be done whenever any doubt arises but stiff opposition to CBI enquiry in Yadav Singh case and the speed with all this is happening with him do leave many questions unanswered.
