Vivek Satya Mitram : It was 30th December, 2013 when I left my job as Assignment Editor at a news channel and opted to live a life of an Entrepreneur. In 10 days I would complete 2 years as an Entrepreneur and I must say this journey was great, full of joy, happiness, achievements and learnings Because when you become an entrepreneur your world changes entirely. You start looking at life, people, products, services, value, pricing, problems, solutions differently and without any effort you feel connected with start up ecosystem And then every single positive – negative news, rumour, policy decision, research grabs your attention.
You come to know about a lot of new terms, people, groups, activists, motivators, mentors, events, activities, initiatives which you never come across before being an entrepreneur and living in the same society.
Your everyday is a new day when you face new challenges, you work on new strategies, you fight with new hurdles, you learn new things, you overshadow your self, you question your strength, your ability, your decisions, your thoughts, your weaknesses and by the time you evolve as a completely new person – a warrior, a leader and most importantly a one man army who is full of real energy, logical vision, unquestionable abilities, unstoppable dreams.
A person who is inspired by himself, his struggles, his journey, his ambitions, his courage, his joy, his pain and his idea that he believes even then when entire world would say “you fool, your idea is the dumbest one ever thought and whatever you do, you won’t be successful in any situation”.
Yes! you can not feel a lot of things in this world around you, if you can’t start up. And most importantly, becoming an entrepreneur means becoming someone who does not only says, thinks, believes rather someone who proves whatever he says, whatever he thinks, whatever he believes in reality. A person who makes things better for others, who solves a lot of problems that others can’t even realise, he creates history and add something remarkable for mankind.
It’s been almost 2 years when I started my journey as an entrepreneur and I am proud of my decision which ultimately helped me to live the life I always wanted to. The life which has struggles, pains, challenges but at the same time success, joy, achievements and most importantly the satisfaction of doing something which you consider as your dream, your passion and your cup of tea. I guess, this is what we call ” The road not taken”. And the best thing is that no one can fire you from this job!

आपके बारे में वो मैग्जीन (इंडिया टुडे) कुछ छापे जो आपके जीवन में मैग्जीन के तौर पर दाखिल होने वाली पहली पत्रिका हो, जिसे आप तीन दशक से जानते हों, जिसे पढ़ते हुए आपने हर उस शख्स को महत्वपूर्ण होने का दर्जा दिया हो जिसके बारे में उसमें कुछ पढ़ा हो। साथ ही वो मैग्जीन (तहलका) आपके बारे में फुल पेज पिक्चर स्टोरी छापे जिसने अपने तेवर और अंदाज से करोड़ों लोगों के बीच एक अलग पहचान बनाई हो।
आप उस जानेमाने न्यूज़पेपर (हिंदुस्तान) के लिए वीकली कॉलम लिखने लगें जिसे आपने बचपन से पढ़ा हो और कभी जिसमें कोशिश करके भी आपको इंटर्नशिप ना मिली हो।
आपके और आपके काम के बारे में दुनिया की अलग अलग भाषाओं और कंटेंट की दर्जन भर से ज्यादा वेबसाइट्स (फर्स्टपोस्ट, स्कूपहूप, डीएनए, योरस्टोरी, विटीफीड) लिखें जिन्हें रोज़ाना करोड़ों लोग पढ़ते हों।
आपके सोशल एक्सपेरिमेंट आइडियाज़, क्रिएटिव कैंपेन्स (नॉट अ हिप्पोक्रेट कैंपेन) रातोंरात वाइरल हो जाएं, करोड़ों लोग उन्हें फेसबुक पर लाइक या शेयर करें और आप दुनिया के चाहे जिस कोने में रह रहे शख्स से बात करें उसने वो कैंपेन देखा हो, नोटिस किया हो और अप्रिशिएट करे।
आप एक ही साल में उन जगहों पर गए हों जिनके बारे में आपने कभी सोचा ना हो, ऐसे लोगों से मिले हों, बात की हो, उनके मुंह से तारीफ सुनी हो जिन्हें दुनिया अाइडॉल मानती हो।
जिस एक ही साल में इतनी सारी उपलब्धियां मिली हों भला उस एक साल से बेहतरीन साल और कौन सा हो सकता है आपकी जिंदगी में लेकिन मेरे लिए ये साल बेस्ट इयर ऑफ माई लाईफ इसलिए नहीं है क्योंकि इस साल ये तमाम उपलब्धियां मिलीं बल्कि इसलिए है क्योंकि इस साल जिंदगी में वो लोग मिले जिनके दम पर ये उपलब्धियां हासिल हो सकीं। वो जिन्होंने अनकंडिशनल सपोर्ट दिया, वो जो हर मुश्किल घड़ी में चट्टान की तरह खड़े रहे, वो जिन्होंने हौसला दिया हर हाल में लड़ने का, जीतने का, मुस्कुराने का, सपने देखने का और कभी अकेला नहीं महसूस करने का।
ये साल इसलिए भी सबसे ख़ास है क्योंकि वो मिले जो सिर्फ किस्मत से मिलते हैं। काश फेसबुक उपलब्धियों की हर तस्वीर के पीछे का असली चेहरा भी दिखा पाता जिनकी वजह से मैं हूं, जो सही मायने में इन उपलब्धियों के हकदार हैं। कोई शक नहीं, इस एक साल ने जो यादें दी हैं वो ताउम्र इतनी ही ताज़ा रहेंगी, हमेशा, हर हाल में, तब भी जब वक्त अपनी धुरी से कोसों दूर निकल चुका होगा।
