नई दिल्ली : डयूश वैले (डीडब्ल्यू), जर्मनी के लोक सेवा प्रसारक ने आज हयात रीजेंसी में अपने नए चैनल की शुरुआत करते हुए दक्षिण एशिया के टेलीविजन दर्शकों की सेवा के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता जताई है। यह नया डीडब्ल्यूटीवी 24 घंटे अंग्रेजी में कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत करेगा जो समाचारों, जीवनशैली के कार्यक्रमों और एशिया से संबंधित क्षेत्रीय मुद्दों पर केन्द्रित होंगे। चैनल का मुख्य आकर्षण क्षेत्रीय समाचारों और एशिया के घटनाक्रमों से संबंधित कार्यक्रमों के साथ-साथ यूरोप और विश्व के समाचार प्रस्तुत करना है। चैनल पर संस्कृति तथा जीवनशैली से जुड़े वृत्तचित्र, वार्ताएं और विविध कार्यक्रम दिखाए जाएंगे। इनमें यूरोमैक्स, आटर्स 21, टूमॉरो टुडे और डिस्कवर जर्मनी भी शामिल हैं।
डीडब्ल्यू के एशिया के वितरण प्रमुख डोरोथी उलरिच्स ने बताया कि नए डीडब्ल्यू टीवी से हमारे दक्षिण एशिया के दर्शक विश्व के कार्यक्रम देख पाएंगे। डीडब्ल्यू स्थानीय व्यवसाय और अभिमत से संबद्ध नेतृत्व के लिए विशेष तौर पर विशिष्ट परिप्रेक्ष्य में कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत करता है तथा अब डीडब्ल्यू के समाचारों में अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय हैडलाइंस और स्थानीय मुद्दों से जुड़े विस्तृत समाचार प्रस्तुत किए जाएंगे। भारत में नया डीडब्ल्यू टीवी डीडी फ्रीडिश, डिश टीवी और एयरटेल जैसे डीटीएच प्लेटफार्मों पर उपलब्ध है। यह केबल नेटवर्क जिसमें एशियानेट, हैथवे, डेन नेटवर्क, इन केबल नेटवर्क, ऑरटेल, और जीटीपीएल शामिल है, पर भी उपलब्ध है।
कार्यक्रम की संचालक डीडब्ल्यू की अमृता चीमा होंगी जोकि बर्लिन में डीडब्ल्यू न्यूज की एंकर हैं। इस कार्यक्रम में डीडब्ल्यू समाचार और समसामयिकी कार्यक्रम प्रमुख कार्स्टन आन नाहयेन ने भी अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय समाचार तथा प्रसारण जगत की विस्तृत जानकारी प्रदान करेंगे। भारत के लोक सेवा प्रसारक प्रसार भारती ने पिछले वर्ष डीडब्ल्यू के साथ समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर करके हाइब्रिड-13बी उपग्रह के डीटीएच प्लेटफार्म पर डीडी इंडिया के वितरण और बदले में डीडी फ्री डिश पर डीडब्ल्यू-टीवी के वितरण का मार्ग प्रशस्त किया है।

DWTV : Newly launched channel focuses on news and regional issues
New Delhi : Deutsche Welle (DW), Germany’s Public Service Broadcaster, will underline its dedication to serving television audiences in South Asia while presenting its new channel today at Hyatt Regency, New Delhi. The new DWTV will feature 24 hours of programming in English with a focus on news, lifestyle and regional content for Asia. The cornerstone of the channel is news from Europe and the world, along with a programming focus on regional news and events from Asia. The new channel will also feature a variety of documentaries, talk shows and programs covering culture and lifestyle. Highlights include Euromaxx, Arts. 21, Tomorrow Today and Discover Germany.
“The new DWTV opens a window to the world for our viewers in South Asia,” said Dorothee Ulrichs, Head of Distribution Asia at DW. “DW offers a unique perspective that is especially valued by local business and opinion leaders and DW News will now provide them with insights into international head-lines and the details behind regional issues.”
In India, the new DWTV will be available on DTH platforms such as DD Freedish , Dish TV and Airtel. It will also available on cable networks including Asianet, Hathways, DEN Networks, InCable Network, Ortel and GTPL.
Host of today’s event is DW’s Amrita Cheema, who works as an anchor on DW News in Berlin. Carsten on Nahmen, the Head of DW News and Current Affairs, will also be on hand to share insight into the world of international news and broadcasting.
