EX-STATE HEAD OF SADHNA PRIME NEWS LOST JOB AND JOINED AUTO LIFTER GANG, HELD WITH ASSOCIATES, TEN STOLEN CARS AND EQUIPMENTS RECOVERED

The team of Anti- Auto Theft Squad (AATS) of South East District has busted one inter-state gang of auto lifters and arrested two auto lifters Lakhwinder Singh and Rizwan along with one receiver Satyam Gupta. With their arrest, total 10 luxury cars with equipments have been recovered.
TEAM AND OPERATIONS :-
In order to prevent and detect the incidents of auto- lifting in the area, a team led by in charge/ AATS Insp. Love Atrey consisting of SI Parvesh Kasana, ASI Vinod, ASI Viju, HC Deshraj,Ct Arvind, Ct Vinod, Ct Pankaj, Ct Vikas, Ct. Himanshu and Ct. Lalit was constituted under the supervision of Sh. Ram Sunder ACP/Operations. The effort of police team paid off and intelligence was gathered about an inter- state gang of auto lifters. The said information was further developed and on 01.10.2020, a trap was laid near Okhla red light Sriniwaspuri. At about 6.00 PM, one white colour Maruti swift car which was coming from Lajpat Nagar side was intercepted and stopped. The driver of the car was identified as Lakhwinder Singh and his co- drivers were identified as Satyam Gupta and Rizwan. On checking into the car, one device, two ECM sets, three keys and 50 plate card boards to make duplicate number plates were recovered. On interrogation and checking, the swift car was found to be stolen from New Friends Colony vide e-FIR No. 021015/20, dated 29.08.2020, u/s 379 IPC. Subsequently, all the three accused persons were arrested u/s 41.1 (d) CrPC and the stolen car was seized.
INTERROGATION-
During sustained interrogation, accused Lakhwinder Singh disclosed that earlier he worked at a welding shop in Narela Delhi but due to lock down he lost his job. He started to commit auto lifting with his associate Rizwan. Accused Rizwan disclosed that he worked as a driver but due to lock down he also became jobless. Hence he contacted his associate Lakhvinder Singh and started to steal the cars. They handed over the stolen vehicles to receiver Satyam Gupta. On interrogation, Satyam Gupta disclosed that he had done a job in Lucknow FM News, Khabrein Abhi Tak. Four months ago, he worked as a State Head in Sadhna Prime News but he left the job over the issue of payment/salary. As he was already in contact with Rizwan and Lakhwinder Singh, he started to take stolen cars from them and with the help of one Kuldeep who lives in Jhangolu Delhi, he disposed the stolen car in Nepal or NE region. In July 2020, he went jail in gangster Act from Lucknow (UP).
Further Lakhvinder and Rizwan disclosed that they sole many cars and parked its near Okhla Subzi Mandi. Today they were going to near Okhla mandi to hand over the stolen cars to receiver Satyam Gupta. On the instance of the accused persons, raid were conducted in the area of Okhla mandi shriniwaspuri Amar Colony Delhi and 09 more stolen cars recovered. On checking and interrogation, the same cars were found to be stolen in multiple cases in Delhi.
MODUS OPERANDI :-
Accused persons used to target cars parked in the residential area of Delhi NCR and steal the same. They break down the lock of the cars with the help of equipments. After that they used to remove the battery connection of the car by the opening the bonnet and break the steering lock with the help of battery operated drill machine. They possess their separate set of ECM and steering lock set to operate the ignition switch of the car. Thereafter, with the help of pre occupied ECM, they used to start the vehicle. They also use a device to unlock the mechanism of the car. As the device is uploaded by a special software. After stealing the vehicle accused persons parked the vehicle at open space of Okhla Mandi area and informed to receiver Satyam Gupta. Thereafter, he receives the cars for further disposal with the help of Kuldeep. Search of Kuldeep is being made. He is absconding. Investigation is in progress.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSONS
Accused Lakhvinder Singh, age 32 year s/o Ranjha Singh r/o Nangli Poona, Delhi had studied up to 6th class. He worked at welding shop in Nartela Delhi. He used to place duplicate ECM system and generate duplicate key for the purpose of theft of luxury cars. He is previously involved in 06 cases of auto theft.
Accused Rizwan, age 32 year s/o Shamshad r/o Alipur Delhi had studied up to 5th class. He worked as driver but due to lock down he became job less. He is previously involved in 12 cases of auto theft.
Accused (Receiver) Satyam Gupta, age 40 years s/o Parasnath Gupta r/o LDA Colony, Kanpur Road Lucknow (UP) is graduate. He worked in Lucknow FM News, Khabrein Abhi Tak and state head in Sadhna Prime News. He is previously involved in 03 cases of auto theft, hurt and Gangster Act in UP.
