IFWJ Mourns Death of Veteran Journalist Dr. N.K. Trikha… Indian Federation of Working Journalists (IFWJ) has deeply mourned the death of Dr. N.K. Trikha, an eminent journalist and very sensible trade union leader of media persons. Besides being a serious and well read journalist, he was an excellent media educator. Scores of journalists working for many media organisations have been trained by Dr. Trikha. He was a member of the Press Council of India and the President of the ‘National Union of Journalists’ (India).
Dr. Trikha was suffering from an incurable decease for quite some time and yet on the request of the IFWJ Vice President Hemant Tiwari, he attended a two day meeting of the ‘Confederation of Newspaper and News Agency Employees’ Organisations’ held at Lucknow last year. As the member of the Majithia Wage Board, Dr. Trikha made significant contribution for revising the wages of the newspaper employees. IFWJ President B.V. Mallikarjunaiah and Secretary General Parmanand Pandey have expressed their grief over the sad demise of Dr. Trikha.
