I had face hardship for been appointed by election commission for monitoring paid news. I did not impose or lobby for the post. The frustrated journalists who were kept out of committee because they had misappropriated funds during 2013 elections.
This time the EC was very strict, therefore they served notice to journalists who had received money from politicians to carry one sided news. People who took money from politicians

and few local channels.
All of them have record of blackmail, extortion and collecting huge money from public. H.T.Anil of Kannada Prabha is the master and highly manipulative among all. Ramesh Kuttappa used to lure college girls along with his two stringers vignesh and kishore.
A notice was served to these journalists for collecting money from politicians and carrying news by the EC & Information department on 5th april 2014. Instead of giving an explanation, they carried a witch hunting news program on Channel coorg to target the committe members. Anchor & owner Sridhar nellithaya, H.T.Anil and Kuttappa participated in the program news bunch in which they used ugly and filthy language against me. They linked me up with some unknown men in the district whom i dont even know.
Immediately, I went to the local police station to lodge a complaint, but the police refused to register an F.I.R. I approached the Dysp & SP, but it did not yield any results.
I approached a local advocate mr.Bharat bheemaih, who served a defamation notice to all the three. Within notice period, H.T.Anil of Kannnda Prabha sent his friend and journalist Jagadish Belliappa of vijaya karnataka to threaten me to withdraw the case, otherwise he would kill me. i asked him to do so. within few days Vijayavani stringers Vignesh also called me and threatened to withdraw the complaint.
Subsequently, these goons in disguise of photographers/stringers came to my college and threatened me. Lakshmish (Shakti photographer), Girish padagalitha (Vijay Karnataka stringer) who have past history of eve teasing, entered my college and told in front of my students that if i do not withdraw the complaint against the journalist, they would striptease me in front of my students and in public. They carried weapon in their hands.
Police once again refused to file a complaint, therefore I sent a complaint to the chief minister’;s office via email. On the direction of the chief minister’; office, a complaint was registered against the 4 of them however police refused to arrest them saying that they do not have witness, there was pressure was from some local editors on police not to take action.
Even today whenever i pass through market or public place, these photographers / stringers Lakshmish, Girish, vignesh & Kishore make loud vulgar comments in public causing embrassment.
I called up the editor of Vijayavani and Vijayakarnataka to complain, but instead the editors refused to take action, but are firmly behind their people. Vijayavani editor Thimappa bhat says provide me proof, but stands defensive! Vijaya Karnataka editor (mysore) Omkarappa is protecting their reporter / stringer, he called up the district Supdt and has instructed that no case should be lodged against jagadish belliappa and stringer Girish.
These editors are calling the police department and putting pressure on them to file B report on my complaint. Few days ago H.T.Anil, Sridhar Nellithaya, Kuttappa and stringers entered my FMC college and asked her to remove me from the job
College Principal Paravathi Appaiah summoned me and told me that I should either withdraw criminal case against the journalists or I should discontinue from coming to college. I have refused to withdraw the complaint. She asked me not to come to the college from next day onwards.
I have lost my job for fighting for justice. These journalists / editors are capable of going to any extent. They have strong backing of editors and management.
Our district has highest number of illegal cable operators, who are troubling public by demanding money. There is no control of the administration. Police and politicians are hand in glove. Crimes involving journalists do not come out, it is completely covered up.
These incidents are quite common in the district. Anyone who raises voice are either silenced or the image tarnished. I request support for my support
