CNN-News18 stays ahead of Times Now & Republic; leads English TV News segment with 31.2% market share

New Delhi: Continuing its leadership run for the past 20 weeks, CNN-News18 has strengthened its position as the Number one English News Channel in the country.

As per BARC data (TG: 15+ AB | Full Week (0200-2600 hrs) Wk 35’22 | 8 Channels considered), CNN-News18 has secured a market share of 31.2%, which is 23% higher than Republic TV in terms of viewership this week. Meanwhile, Times Now and Republic TV were left to fight for the number 2 position, with 25.8% and 25.3% market share respectively.

The channel opened at number one position when the BARC ratings resumed in March this year and has continued its leadership run since then.

Even on digital, the channel has been able to generate good traction for its content. Its YouTube channel and social media handles are among the most viewed with a high engagement rate.

CNN-News18 is also ahead of the competition in prime time, with a 32.7% market share in 1800-2300 hrs (AB15+ weekdays), beating Times Now and Republic TV.
