कोबरा पोस्ट के ‘डंक’ से बौखलाए मीडिया हाउसों ने अपनी खत्म होती साख को बचाने के वास्ते अब लीगल नोटिसों और अदालतों का सहारा लेना शुरू कर दिया है. दैनिक भास्कर पहले ही कोर्ट जाकर उससे संबंधित स्टिंग प्रसारित करने पर स्टे ले आया. इसके कारण कोबरा पोस्ट ने फिलहाल दैनिक भास्कर से संबंधित स्टोरी /वीडियो को होल्ड कर लिया है.
इसी तरह बेंगलुरू की कोर्ट के आदेश के बाद सुवर्णा न्यूज़ चैनल से संबन्धित वीडियो / स्टोरी को कोबरा पोस्ट ने अपने पोर्टल से हटा लिया है. दैनिक भास्कर और सुवर्णा न्यूज से संबंधित स्टिंग के वीडियोज कोर्ट में मामला निपटने के बाद दिखाए जाएंगे.
ताजी सूचना ये मिली है कि इंडिया टुडे समूह ने भी कोबरा पोस्ट को लीगल नोटिस भेज दिया है और पोर्टल से तत्काल उससे संबंधित पोस्ट व वीडियो को हटाने के लिए कहा है. ऐसा न करने पर विधिक कार्यवाही की चेतावनी दी है. इंडिया टुडे की वेबसाइट पर इस बाबत एक पोस्ट का प्रकाशन किया गया है जिसमें लीगल नोटिस का भी प्रकाशन किया गया है.

India Today serves legal notice to Cobrapost
The India Today Group has sent a notice to the website Cobrapost demanding that the latter remove the malicious and slanderous content that seeks to defame the group. The notice states that in case Cobrapost failed to remove the said content, appropriate legal action will be initiated against the website and its promoters.
“The India Today Group is one of the leading media organizations in India, and has been for over four decades. The ITG has an impeccable reputation for integrity and transparency. As an organization, it has never engaged in the unethical and illegal practice of “paid news”. As a policy, commercial exigencies have never influenced editorial content on any of its platforms,” reads the legal notice.
“Advertising and editorial are separate departments in our organization and advertising slots on television and in print are clearly marked as advertorials or contain disclaimers where necessary to maintain this separation, which we value,” it further mentions.
