Both the Prime Minister Office (PMO) and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) have refused to provide information about the Dharma Sansad held recently in Ayodhya and New Delhi.
Activist Dr Nutan Thakur had sought information from PMO and MHA about the various directions and instructions issued by the Prime Minister and the Home Minister to MHA, its various Central Police organizations and Uttar Pradesh Government as regards these Dharma Sansad.
Parveen Kumar, CPIO, PMO denied the information saying that it was indiscriminate and open-ended while V S Rana, CPIO, MHA denied it saying that it is exempt u/s 8(1)(a) of the RTI Act, related with the sovereignty and integrity of India, the security of the State etc. Calling the denials improper, Nutan has made Appeal against the two orders.
पीएमओ, गृह मंत्रालय द्वारा धर्म संसद सूचना से मनाही
प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय (पीएमओ) तथा गृह मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार ने विगत दिनों अयोध्या तथा नयी दिल्ली में हुए धर्म संसद से जुडी सूचना देने से मना कर दिया है. एक्टिविस्ट डॉ नूतन ठाकुर ने पीएमओ तथा गृह मंत्रालय से इन धर्म संसद के संबंध में प्रधान मंत्री तथा गृह मंत्री द्वारा गृह मंत्रालय, विभिन्न केंद्रीय अर्ध-सैनिक बलों तथा उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार को दिए गए आदेशों तथा निर्देशों से जुड़े अभिलेख मांगे थे.
पीएमओ के जन सूचना अधिकारी प्रवीण कुमार ने सूचना को अस्पष्ट एवं अविचारपूर्ण तथा गृह मंत्रालय के जन सूचना अधिकारी वी एस राणा ने सूचना के आरटीआई एक्ट की धारा 8(1)(ए) में देश की प्रभुता एवं अखंडता, राज्य की सुरक्षा आदि में निषिद्ध होने के आधार पर देने से मना कर दिया. इन मनाही से असहमत होते हुए नूतन ने इनके संबंध में अपील दायर की है.
