“We are going to hold another round of meeting with media houses to ensure implementation of Majithia Wage Board’s recommendations,” State Labour Minister Antar Singh Arya told reporters here.

Arya, who is also Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Minister, said that the Haj pilgrims of the state will not face accommodation problem next year as a Haj house was coming up here.

Seventy per cent of the Haj house has been built and the entire work would be completed shortly, he added. Replying to a question, he said 10 child labourers have been rescued in last 21 months in the state. He said that the rate of accident in industries which was 1.05 per thousand workers in 2012 has gone down to 0.62 per thousand workers in 2013, following effective inspections of workplaces.

In the said news report a report is typed with mistaken as… The Board, headed by Chief Justice P Sathasivam had submitted its final recommendations on December 31, 2010, which were notified by the Centre with certain modifications, a year later on November 11, 2011. Actually The Board, headed by Honourable Retired Justce of Punjab HC Shri G R Majithia (earlier was justice Kurup-resigned) had submitted its final recommendations on December 31, 2010, which were notified by the Centre with certain modifications, a year later on November 11, 2011. Honourable Chief Justice of Supreme Court Shri P Sathasivam delivered the final judgment on 7th Feb., 2014. Main question is that how to calculation is going to Fixation/Fitment. Majority management wrongly implemented the Wage Board. They did not protect the existing emoluments, did did paid service increments, denying the annual service increment, giving the DA on the base of 189 points instead of 167. So I request the concerned employees of others please clarify the calculation as properly. And also post the Pay Slip according the Majithia Wage Board on my email kgmmatale@gmail.com.
