नए वेज बोर्ड के लिए आंदोलन की तैयारी – Media Employees to Hold Rally for New Wage Board

‘कॉन्फ़ेडरेशन ऑफ़ न्यूज़पेपर एंड न्यूज़ एजेंसी एम्प्लाइज यूनियंस’ के झंडे तले नए वेज बोर्ड के गठन, पत्रकारों की सुरक्षा और मजीठिया वेतनमान को सभी समाचार पत्रों एवं संवाद समितियों में लागू कराने के लिए दिल्ली में शीघ्र ही एक विशाल रैली आयोजित की जायगी। यह निर्णय सर्व सम्मति से कल पी.टी.आई. फेडरेशन के दफ्तर में हुई कॉन्फ़ेडरेशन की बैठक में लिया गया। पूरे देश के पत्रकारों एवं गैर-पत्रकारों से आह्वाहन किया गया है कि वे इस रैली में शामिल हों। रैली कि तिथि कॉन्फ़ेडरेशन के अन्य नेताओं से विचार-विमर्श के बाद सूचित की जाएगी। 

कॉन्फ़ेडरेशन देश भर के सभी समाचार पत्रों एवं संवाद समितियों में काम करने वाले कर्मचारियों की यूनियनों एवं फेडरेशनों का एक शीर्ष संगठन है। इसी के नेतृत्व में मजीठिया वेज बोर्ड कि लड़ाई लड़ी गई थी, जिसका लाभ तमांम समाचार पत्र कर्मियों को मिल रहा है। जो इस लाभ से वंचित रह गए हैं उनके लिए संघर्ष की रूपरेखा तैयार की जा रही है। बैठक में कुछ स्वयंभू नेताओं द्वारा पत्रकारों एवं गैर-पत्रकाओं की एकता को तोड़ने के प्रयासों कि निंदा की गयी। जो अपने स्वार्थपूर्ति के लिए मालिकों के इशारे पर मजदूर हितों पर कुठाराघात कर रहे हैं। कर्मचारियों से अपील की गयी है कि विषनाग की तरह कुंडली मारे ऐसे नेताओं को वे बाहर का रास्ता दिखाएं।

आई.एफ.डब्लू.जे. उपाध्यक्ष श्री हेमंत तिवारी ने प्रस्ताव किया कि कॉन्फ़ेडरेशन का एक सम्मेलन उत्तर प्रदेश में आयोजित होना चाहिए जिससे प्रदेश के बड़े अख़बार मालिकों के साथ-साथ सरकार को भी यह चेतावनी और संदेश दिया जा सके कि अख़बार कर्मचारी अब चुप बैठने वाले नहीं हैं। बैठक कॉन्फ़ेडरेशन के महासचिव श्री एम. एस. यादव ने बुलाई थी। श्री त्यागी, श्री वर्मा, श्री राजवीर, श्री मेहरुद्दीन (पी.टी.आई. फेडरेशन), श्री परमानन्द पांडेय, श्री हेमंत तिवारी, श्री रिंकू यादव (आई.एफ.डब्लू.जे.), श्री एस. एन. सिन्हा, सुश्री सबीना इंद्रजीत (आई.जे.यू.), श्री के. बी. पंडित, श्री मदन सिंह (आई.जे.यू.), सुश्री सुजाता मधोक, श्री एस. के. पांडे (डी.यू.जे.), श्री एम.एल. जोशी (यू.एन.आई. एम्प्लाइज फेडरेशन), श्री रूपचंद एवं अन्य साथी (टाइम्स ऑफ़ इंडिया), श्री अखिलेश एवं अन्य साथी (हिंदुस्तान टाइम्स), श्री नायडू, श्री नन्द किशोर (इंडियन एक्सप्रेस), श्री राजेंद्र प्रभु, श्री मनोहर सिंह (एन.यू.जे.) के आलावा दैनिक जागरण एम्प्लाइज यूनियन और अन्य यूनियनों के कामरेड्स शामिल थे। 

Media Employees to Hold Rally for New Wage Board

‘Confederation of Newspaper and News Agency Employees’ Unions’ has decided to hold a mammoth rally in New Delhi next month for the constitution of the new Wage Board, implementation of the Majithia Award and for effective Legislation for the safety of the media persons. The meeting of the Confederation was organized in the sprawling basement office of the PTI Employees Federation. The General Secretary of the Confederation Shri M.S. Yadav outlined the course of struggle to be waged by the employees for the fulfillment of their demands.

The Confederation is the apex body of the media employees working for news agencies and hundreds of newspapers. It has successfully fought for the Majithia Award in and outside the Supreme Court. The Confederation condemned the divisive policies of some self-styled leaders who have been splitting the organizations at the behest of the newspaper owners. It has warned such leaders to desist from their nefarious activities otherwise they will have to face the wrath of the media employees.

The Confederation expressed its deep concerns over the coercive and fraudulent tactics of the newspaper owners in not implementing the Majithia Award. The employees have been forced to sign on blank papers, which are totally illegal, just to deprive them from the Majithia benefits. The governments are sleeping over such illegalities being committed by the newspaper owners is highly baffling. The inaction of the Governments has been condemned by the confederation. It was also decided that a meeting between the important leaders of the media industry and Advocates for the employees in the Supreme Court would be organized soon to chalk-out the strategy to put up the united fight.

Sinha, and Ms. Sabeena Indrajeet (IJU), Shri K.B. Pandit and Shri Madan Singh (IJU), Shri Rajentra Prabhu and Shri Manohar Singh (NUJ), Shri M.L. Joshi (UNI Employees Federation), Ms. Sujata Madhok and Shri S.K. Pandey (DUJ), Shri Roopchand and his friends (Times of India), Shri Akhilesh and other comrades (Hindustan Times), Shri Naidu and Shri Nand Kishore (Indian Express), some members of Dainik Jagran Employees Union and many more comrades from other unions.
