The IFWJ has also sent a protest letter to the Managing Director of the D.B. Corp Ramesh Chandra Agarwal desist from indulging into gross unfair labour practice of getting signatures from employees.

In his letter to the Chief Minister and the Labour Minister Shri Pandey has said that the management was not paying wages and allowances to the employees as per the Majithia Award despite the notification by the Government and the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. Thus, the employees of Dainik Bhaskar had no choice but to file many contempt petitions in the Supreme Court. On the last date of hearing, the Supreme Court ordered all the state governments to appoint Labour Inspectors to find out the status of the implementation of the Majithia Award. Needless to say, that a large number of the newspapers has not implemented the Award but the worst violators are Dainik Bhaskar, Dainik Jagran, Naidunia, Rajasthan Patrika, Prabhat Khabar, Aaj, Sahara, the Hindustan Times, and the Statesman etc.

To hoodwink the order of the Supreme Court the newspaper employers are adopting the coercive methods to secure the signatures of the employees on a paper stating that they are satisfied with the wages being given to them by their newspapers and therefore, they do not want Majithia Award. It is a ridiculous ruse of the owners, which can be seen through any body but the most distressing part is that the state governments are maintaining the policy of criminal detachment by overlooking the interests of the employees and thereby the supporting the proprietors.

Surprisingly, Dainik Bhaskar management was trying to get the signature of the employees even till yesterday, at a time when the investigations about the status of the Majithia Award as order by the Supreme Court are in the full swing, which demonstrates that the owner of Dainik Bhaskar has fear for the law, the government or even of the court.
