एक पत्रकार ने नाम पहचान न उजागर करने की शर्त पर यह जानकारी भेजी है। पढ़िए और मीडिया की हालत पर तरस खाइए। इस न्यूज़ चैनल के मालिक कार्तिक शर्मा (राज्यसभा सांसद) हैं। ये आदरणीय मनु शर्मा के भाई हैं, वही मनु शर्मा जिनका नाम ‘नो वन किल्ड जेसिका’ मामले में चर्चित रहा।
देश के नामचीन न्यूज़ नेटवर्क इंडिया न्यूज़ में अंदरूनी आर्थिक संकट की खबरें सामने आ रही हैं। चैनल से जुड़े कई कर्मचारियों का दावा है कि उन्हें पिछले तीन महीने से वेतन नहीं मिला है। टेक्निकल स्टाफ से लेकर रिपोर्टर्स और प्रोड्यूसर तक—कई विभागों में काम करने वाले कर्मचारी आर्थिक तंगी से जूझ रहे हैं।
सितंबर आधा बीत चुका है, लेकिन इंडिया न्यूज़ में काम करने वालों को अभी तक जुलाई का वेतन नहीं मिला।
सूत्रों के मुताबिक, कंपनी प्रबंधन की ओर से न तो वेतन भुगतान की कोई ठोस तारीख दी गई है, न ही स्थिति को लेकर स्पष्ट जवाब। कई कर्मचारियों ने इस मामले पर आवाज़ उठाई, लेकिन उन्हें बाहर का रास्ता दिखा दिया गया। इससे कर्मचारियों में डर और असुरक्षा का माहौल है।
कई लोगों का कहना है कि वित्तीय अनुशासन की कमी और प्रबंधन की अनदेखी के चलते हालात बिगड़े हैं। कई कर्मचारी अब नौकरी छोड़ने या कानूनी विकल्पों पर विचार कर रहे हैं।
इस बीच, इंडिया न्यूज़ की तरफ से अब तक इस मसले पर कोई आधिकारिक बयान नहीं आया। कर्मचारियों का कहना है कि मेहनत से काम करने वाले लोग इस बात से परेशान हैं कि आखिर वे अपने परिवार का गुजारा कैसे करें।
कर्मचारियों का कहना है कि स्थिति बेहद गंभीर है—वेतन रोका गया है, स्टाफ की भारी कमी है और जो लोग बचे हैं उनसे लगातार शोषण हो रहा है। उनके अनुसार, सैलरी संकट पर प्रबंधन की प्रतिक्रिया महज़ औपचारिकता होगी, जबकि असलियत कर्मचारियों की पीड़ा है। यह लेख किसी की छवि खराब करने के लिए नहीं बल्कि कर्मचारियों की आवाज़ उठाने के लिए लिखा गया है।
कंपनी का पक्ष
कंपनी के लीगल सेल ने इन आरोपों को ‘‘झूठा, भ्रामक और मानहानिकारक’’ बताते हुए एक पत्र जारी किया है। पत्र में कहा गया है कि वेतन न मिलने की बातें पूरी तरह से तथ्यहीन और दुर्भावनापूर्ण हैं।
कंपनी का दावा है कि इंडिया न्यूज़ वर्षों से जिम्मेदार पत्रकारिता और नैतिक कॉर्पोरेट प्रथाओं के लिए जानी जाती है। प्रबंधन का कहना है कि चैनल लगातार अपने वित्तीय दायित्वों को निभा रहा है और कर्मचारियों व साझेदारों के प्रति पारदर्शिता बरत रहा है।
प्रबंधन ने लिखा कि इस तरह की खबरें केवल संस्थान की छवि धूमिल करने और जनता को गुमराह करने के लिए फैलाई जाती हैं।

The allegations made therein, particularly the claims regarding non-payment of salaries for the past three months, are not only grossly incorrect and devoid of factual basis, but also appear to have been concocted with malafide intent to tarnish the reputation and goodwill of our organization. As a reputed and responsible media company, lawfully incorporated and continuously operating for several years, we categorically state that the contents of your publication are false, fabricated, and malicious in character. The said article has been crafted in a manner calculated to mislead the public, create unnecessary suspicion, and unjustifiably malign our institution, its management, and stakeholders.
At the very outset, let it be placed on record that our channel is one of India’s established and respected media networks, with a proven track record of ethical journalism, fair practices, and responsible corporate governance. We are a reputed organization, lawfully incorporated and running its operations in strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. We have been employing and supporting hundreds of employees and professionals across the country and continue to discharge all financial and contractual obligations in the ordinary course of business.
The impugned article, by presenting a distorted, exaggerated, and factually incorrect narrative, is not only per se defamatory but also a calculated attempt to undermine and erode the credibility of our media institution, which has been operating with integrity and professionalism for several years. You are fully aware that our channel has been regularly discharging all its obligations, adhering to financial discipline, and maintaining transparency with its employees, partners, and other stakeholders. We have consistently functioned as a reliable and credible voice in the national and regional media landscape, committed to responsible journalism and ethical corporate practices. Despite being aware of these facts, you have, with deliberate malice and reckless disregard for the truth, chosen to circulate misleading material designed to tarnish our reputation, lower our standing in the eyes of the public, and inflict unwarranted damage upon the goodwill painstakingly built by our organization.
The law is well settled that repeated defamatory publications against a reputed corporate entity not only give rise to actionable claims for civil damages, but also constitute the offence of criminal defamation under Sections 354 and 356 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. Furthermore, by breaching your binding undertakings under the Settlement Agreement, your conduct also attracts consequences under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, thereby entitling us to seek specific performance, damages, and other legal remedies available to us in law.
Accordingly, you are hereby called upon to:
a) Immediately cease and desist from publishing or circulating any such false, defamatory, or misleading content concerning our Group, Promoter, or its employees.
b) Forthwith withdraw the impugned article and issue a written clarification and apology.
In the event of your failure to comply, we shall be constrained to initiate all appropriate civil and criminal proceedings against you without any further intimation, including:
a) A suit for injunction and damages (compensatory and punitive) for defamation;
b) Criminal complaints under Sections 354 and 356 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023;
c) Proceedings for breach of contract and recovery of damages under the Indian Contract Act; and
d) Revival of earlier claims and proceedings withdrawn only in good faith pursuant to the earlier Settlement.
This communication may be treated as a final caution. Any repetition of your malicious conduct will leave us with no alternative but to pursue every available remedy under law to protect the hard-earned reputation of our media network and its stakeholders.
