अपनी बेबाक टिप्पणियों के लिए चर्चित जस्टिस मार्कंडेय काटजू ने दर्जन भर से ज्यादा छोटे बड़े न्यूज चैनल एंकर्स Ravish Kumar, Barkha, Arnab Goswami, Rahul Kanwal, Bhupendra Chaubey, Nidhi Razdan, Karan Thapar, Rajdeep Sardesai, Sagarika Ghose आदि को ग्रुप मेल भेज कर यह सलाह दी है-

Most anchors on Indian TV channels nowadays are partisan, and cut short participants expressing opinions contrary to their own,or mock such speakers,while giving much time to those expressing their own views.

This is highly improper and unfair. An anchor should be neutral, like a referee in a football match who neither plays nor advises players how to play, but only blows the whistle when the ball goes out of play or a foul is committed.
