लखनऊ स्थित आरटीआई एक्टिविस्ट डॉ नूतन ठाकुर द्वारा प्राप्त सूचना के अनुसार पिछले 04 साल में राष्ट्रपति के साथ लगे सुरक्षाकर्मियों के सैलरी पर 155.4 करोड़ का खर्च आया है. इसमें वित्तीय वर्ष 2014-15 में रु० 38.17 करोड़, 2015-16 में रु० 41.77 करोड़, 2016-17 में रु० 48.35 करोड़ तथा 2017-18 में अब तक रु० 27.11 करोड़ शामिल है.
इन 04 वर्षों में राष्ट्रपति के सुरक्षाकर्मियों के मूवमेंट हेतु लगी गाड़ियों के रखरखाव में रु० 64.9 लाख का व्यय आया है. इसमें 2014-15 में रु० 15.5 लाख, 2015-16 में रु० 20 लाख, 2016-17 में रु० 21.8 लाख तथा 2017-18 में अब तक रु० 7.5 लाख शामिल है. इसमें इन गाड़ियों के ईंधन पर हुआ खर्च शामिल नहीं है क्योंकि वह सरकारी पेट्रोल पम्प से प्राप्त होता है.
डीसीपी, राष्ट्रपति भवन, नयी दिल्ली ने जीवन तथा शारीरिक सुरक्षा को खतरा होने के आधार पर राष्ट्रपति के साथ लगे सुरक्षाकर्मियों की कुल संख्या तथा उन सुरक्षाकर्मियों के मूवमेंट हेतु लगाए गए गाड़ियों की संख्या देने से मना कर दिया.
155.4 crore on President’s security salary in 04 years
The RTI information obtained by Lucknow based activist Dr Nutan Thakur reveals that Rs. 155.4 crores were spent during the last 04 years on the Salary of the security personnel provided for the security of the President. The expense was Rs. 38.17 crores in the financial year 2014-15, Rs. 41.77 crores in 2015-16, Rs. 48.35 crores in 2016-17 and Rs. 27.11 so far in 2017-18.
During these 04 years, Rs. 64.9 lakh has been incurred for maintenance of the vehicles provided for the movement of these security personnel. This includes Rs. 15.5 lakh in year 2014-15, Rs. 20 lakh in 2015-16, Rs. 21.8 lakh in 2016-17 and Rs. 7.5 lakh so far in 2017-18. This does not include the expenses on fuel for these vehicles as they are drawn from Government fuel stations.
The Office of the DCP, Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi refused to provide the number of security personnel and number of official vehicles provided to the President for their movement, citing endangerment to the life and physical safety as the reason.
