: The film was adjudged as the ‘Best Corporate Film’ by PRSI at 36th All India Public Relations Conference held at Jaipur : Bhopal : A short film made by Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, ‘Ek Bharatiya Aatma’ was adjudged as the ‘Best Corporate Film’ at 36th All India Public Relations Conference held at Jaipur and was awarded with Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) award. The university has made a film on Makhanlal Chaturvedi’s life and the educational and academic activities of the university titled, ‘Ek Bharatiya Aatma’. The conference was organized at Jaipur from December 19 to 21. The award, on the university’s behalf, was received by the head of Advertising and Public Relations Department, Dr Pavitra Shrivastava and head of Management Department Dr Avinash Bajpai.
PRSI is a reputed organization of the PR professionals of the country. It was established in India in 1958. The organization is a member of International Public Relations association. PRSI organizes All India Conference every year wherein PR activities are awarded in various categories. Under this exercise, the short film made by Journalism University ‘Ek Bharatiya Aatma’ was adjudged first prize winner in the category of ‘Best Corporate Film-2014’. The film throws light on contributions of Dada Makhanlal Chaturvedi in the freedom movement as well in the field of journalism and literature in addition to the educational and academic works carried out by the university.
The award was given at the hands of Vidhan Sabha speaker of Rajasthan, Kailash Meghwal. The national president of PRSI, Ajeet Pathak and other dignitaries were present on the occasion. The jury panel for the award comprised former chairman of National Minority Commission and former Chief Information Commissioner, Wajahat Habibullah, Chairman of Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for the state of Goa and Union Territories, SK Chaturvedi, group president of Modi Enterprises, Sarthak Behuriya, Central Information Commissioner, M Shridhar, general secretary of PRSI, Sumita Singh and treasurer, Nivedita Banerjee.
