अब तक एएनआई का ब्राडकास्ट न्यूज एजेंसी के क्षेत्र में एकाधिकार है. पर प्रिंट मीडिया को न्यूज फीड देने वाली लीडिंग न्यूज एजेंसी प्रेस ट्रस्ट आफ इंडिया ने अब इसे टक्कर देने की घोषणा कर दी है. पीटीआई ने ब्राडकास्ट वर्जन लांच करने की घोषणा की है. इस चर्चित न्यूज एजेंसी ने अगले आठ से दस हफ्तों के भीतर ब्राडकास्ट वर्जन के लिहाज से कामधाम शुरू कर देने की तैयारी की है. आंतरिक तैयारियां और कामकाज तेजी से चल रहा है.
माना जा रहा है कि जो पीटीआई के रिपोर्टर हैं, वही ब्राडकास्ट के लिए भी काम करेंगे. यानि जो अब तक कलम से लिखते थे, उन्हें कैमरे भी उठाने पड़ सकते हैं. इन रिपोर्टरों को नए सिरे से ट्रेनिंग दी जाएगी. साथ ही कैमरामैनों की भी भर्ती की जाएगी.

Leading Newswire agency PTI has announced to launch Broadcast version of its newswire services. The agency has done the internal announcement and operations are likely to start in 8-10 weeks. Existing PTI reporters will work for this agency as well and soon they will be seen with camera crews. For this, some of them will be imparted requisite training and in some cases, they will hire new resources.
Currently, ANI has near monopoly in Broadcast Newswire services but considering the reach, range and expertise of PTI and its staff, this upcoming agency is going to be a game changer. And PTI management is planning to focus on Business Channels apart from regular political and general stuff.
