The one man Justice A N Verma enquiry commission, formed in Yadav Singh case, is presently not in a position to begin its work. Social activist Dr Nutan Thakur, who has filed a PIL in this matter, today contacted Justice Verma to get her statement recorded before the Commission, but she was told to wait because he has not got anything other than the notification.
Justice Verma told that he has not even got his charter of duty, nor has he been provided any paraphernalia or necessary infrastructure to carry forth his work. No one from the State government has contacted him in this regards. Justice Verma told Dr Thakur that she can witness before the Commission once it has got its charter of duty along with necessary infrastructure.

यादव सिंह मामले में गठित एक-सदस्यीय जस्टिस ए एन वर्मा जांच समिति अभी अपना काम शुरू करने की स्थिति में नहीं है. इस मामले में पीआईएल करने वाली सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता डॉ नूतन ठाकुर ने आज कमीशन के सामने अपना अभिकथन दर्ज कराने हेतु जस्टिस वर्मा से संपर्क किया तो उन्होंने साफ़ कहा कि अभी उन्हें मात्र अधिसूचना की प्रति मिली है.
जस्टिस वर्मा ने बताया कि अभी उन्हें अपना चार्टर भी नहीं मिला है जिससे उन्हें यह स्पष्ट नहीं है कि उनकी कमीशन का कार्यक्षेत्र क्या रहेगा. साथ ही उन्हें इस कार्य हेतु अभी कोई भी आवश्यक सुविधा या संसाधन उपलब्ध नहीं कराये गए हैं और न ही सरकार की ओर से किसी ने उनसे संपर्क कर इसके विषय में कुछ बताया है. जस्टिस वर्मा ने डॉ ठाकुर से कहा कि जब कमीशन को आवश्यक संसाधन और चार्टर प्राप्त हो जाएगा उसके बाद ही वे कमीशन के सामने अपना अभिकथन दर्ज करा सकती हैं.
