महोदय,

भड़ास के संपादक यशवंत सिंह देश के जाने माने प्रतिष्ठित वरिष्ठ पत्रकार है । दिल्ली पुलिस के इंस्पेक्टर सूरजपाल द्वारा पूछताछ के नाम पर एसीपी संजीवकुमार की मौजूदगी में यशवंत सिंह जी के दुर्व्यवहार किया जाना शर्मनाक है।

साथ ही बिना किसी रसीद दिए उनका आईफोन छीन लेना दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है । नियमानुसार कोई भी चीज जब्त करने की निर्धारित प्रक्रिया होती है । उसी के अनुसार कार्यवाही होनी चाहिए ।

मैं मांग करता हूं कि दुर्व्यवहार करने वाले इंस्पेक्टर सूरजपाल के खिलाफ तत्काल ही कार्यवाही की जानी चाहिए ।

महोदय, आज जांच के लिए मैं भारत नगर थाने पहुंचा जहां एसीपी संजीव कुमार की मौजूदगी में इंस्पेक्टर सूरज पाल ने मुझसे पूछताछ की और मेरे जवाबों को लिखवाया. बाद में मेरा आईफोन 11 जिसमें एयरटेल सिम 9999330099 है, को जांच के नाम पर जब्त कर लिया. लेकिन फोन जब्ती का कोई भी कागज, रसीद मुझे नहीं दिया है. मुझे आशंका है कि मेरे फोन का दुरुपयोग किया जा सकता है. मैं ये सब इसलिए आपके संज्ञान में ला रहा हूं क्योंकि पूछताछ करने वाले अधिकारी इंस्पेक्टर सूरजपाल का रवैया काफी उग्र और मारपीट की धमकियों वाला था. बिना जांच कंप्लीट हुए किसी को अपराधी मानकर ट्रीट करना बेहद शर्मनाक है. मैंने इससे पहले वाली मेल में जांच में सहयोग करने हेतु थाने पहुंचने और अभी तक एफआईआर की कापी न मिलने का जिक्र किया है.

मैं बताना चाहूंगा कि अभी भी मुझे एफआईआर की कापी नहीं दी गई है. फोन भी छीन लिया गया जिसके जरिए फर्जी साक्ष्य गढ़े जाने की आशंका है. इसलिए त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए समुचित निर्देश देने की कृपा करें.

Letter to NHRC

I am writing to bring to your attention a distressing situation involving my father, Mr. Yashwant Singh. He has been actively engaged in journalism for the past thirty years and is the operator of the well-known website “Bhadas4Media.” Recently, he has been falsely accused in a fabricated FIR, which was filed at the Bharat Nagar Police Station in Delhi. In response to a notice from the police, my father visited the police station today at 4 PM.

During his visit, Inspector Suraj Pal interrogated him and recorded his statements. Shockingly, following the interrogation, my father’s iPhone 11, which has an Airtel SIM with the number 9999330099, was seized under the pretext of an ongoing investigation. No official document or receipt was provided to acknowledge the confiscation of the phone. Instead, my father was coerced into signing two papers.

I am deeply concerned about the potential misuse of his phone during this investigation. Furthermore, I find it necessary to bring to your attention the unsettling behavior displayed by Inspector Suraj Pal during the interrogation. His demeanor was not only excessively aggressive but also included implicit threats of physical harm. It is disheartening to see someone treated as a criminal without the due completion of a proper investigation, and such conduct is deeply shameful. As a 20 year old this has been a matter of huge mental distress for me as well.

Sir, despite my father’s efforts, he has not received a copy of the FIR. He has communicated this concern through an email to the relevant police station and the Delhi Police Commissioner, requesting their assistance in expediting the investigation. Unfortunately, he has not yet received a copy of the FIR, and he retains a copy of the email for reference.
I must emphasize that my father is still awaiting the provision of the FIR copy, and his phone remains confiscated, giving rise to concerns of potential tampering with evidence.

In light of these troubling circumstances, I kindly request your immediate intervention and issuance of appropriate instructions to comprehensively address this matter.

दिल्ली पुलिस द्वारा मेरे साथ किए गए दुर्व्यहार पर आदरणीय Urmilesh जी ने कमेंट करके इस घटनाक्रम की निंदा की थी. ये बात कल रात की है. आज सुबह पता चला कि खुद उनके यहां दिल्ली पुलिस पहुंच गई और उन समेत कई पत्रकारों के यहां छापेमारी करके थाने ले गई.

ये क्या हो रहा है. आपातकाल इससे कुछ अलग होता है क्या?

असहमति को कुचलना / रौंदना ही आपातकाल होता है. हम एक नए दौर में प्रवेश कर रहे हैं जहां लोकतंत्र को तानाशाही में तब्दील होते हुए देख रहे हैं.

पत्रकारों के यहां छापे और गिरफ्तारी निंदनीय ही नहीं बल्कि हम सबको एक चेतावनी है. जो बोलेगा जो लिखेगा वो झेलेगा, वो पकड़ा जाएगा, प्रताड़ित किया जाएगा.
