Greetings for the day,
I am Surender Aggarwal worked as a Content Creator in Live Hindustan. Today 21st July (i.e. Sunday) is my last working day and i would need to drag your attention towards the issues I had resulting to resign without having any job offer in my hand.
I resigned from this organisation only because of inhuman and unprofessional behaiour of my reporting manager Mr. Pramod Kumar. I don’t know what would be consequences but here I feel the extreme necessity to express the trauma and suffering which i went through here. And finally when i resigned the very next day he himself told me to decide the relieving date of my choice and when I told him the relieving date. He asked me to have words with HR department and to do the needful.
But when HR executive (Robin Singha) reached me, I told Robin that I will be not able to give proper time and efforts for full 2 months as i am preparing and taking class for further studies, then he told that my Reporting manager is saying that he could not relieve me till 2 months of notice period. That was the situation of confusion he created for me. Later on asked to serve the two months notice period. during this period only when one of my fellow collegue resigned she allowed to serve the notice period less than two months while i was compelled to serve the two months period and He randomly said to her to show his power and threaten her that “Tumhe Bhi Pura Notice Period Serve Karna Hoga. Surender Bahut Uchchal Raha Tha, Ab dekho Extra Din Notice Period Serve Kar rha hai.”
And now, When i needed the clearance of concerned department and approval from my reporting manager, he again put me in a confusing and frustrated situation.
As My last working day is on Sunday and saturday-sunday are his(pramod kumar) weekly offs (he is the only one taking double off in a week in this team and whole team have just 6 week offs in a month), so i asked every department and him to give me clearance and approval on Friday so that i could easily relieve on Sunday because something was scheduled and i was out of the town on Monday. Every Department of this organisation understood and cooperated with me and give the clearance.
But again when i reached to my reporting manager Mr. Pramod Kumar. he wanted me to come office on Monday to take his approval. When i told him that Hr told me that the reporting manager can sign even on friday then he shouted
“HR kya mera BAAP lagta hai?”
Kindda language he used on the news room only. And when I said that HR stated it’s by the company policy and he could do that then he said
“Yahan ki Policy Main Decide Karunga.”
Height of ignorance and sheer aggrogance he carries simply define by such words. Now the quetion wandered in mind Is can he really decide the policies for the organisation? Are other Department gave me approval against company policy?
Every day duty chart is sent at 10 PM in team WhatsApp group then only the entire team gets to know what’s there shift timings for the next day. Except that shift timings too are changed multiple times in a same week. Compromising with week offs too are practised here frequently without any major events.
He made my life miserable and exploited mentally to the point where i was left with the only option that was to resign from the company and then he made that process hell too for me. This is not just it, kindda mental pressure he creates. he makes sure that team members extend their shift timing and when any employee works according to the shift timings he sends them in night shift or satisfy his ego by other ways. even asked them to come office at unusual timings without the concerns of how they will manage without public transport and office cab. even this year on holi i met with an accident in such case only while riding on the day of holi and someone threw a water balloon at me.
I don’t think the eminent organizaion such as hindustan times any employee expect such inhuman and unprofessional work culture. He is destroying the entire team to satisfy his ego and to show his power. I hope matter will be heeded by management so that others won’t suffer what the way i did here.
