Lagos, March 30, 2024 (OFBJPNG)– In a display of unwavering support and solidarity, a group of Indian professionals in Lagos gathered on Saturday to perform traditional Indian prayers, “Havan and Hanuman Chalisa,” seeking divine blessings for the success of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the upcoming election.
Organized by the Overseas Friends of Bharatiya Janata Party (OFBJP), the prayer session took place at Geete Ashram, Lekki, Lagos, with attendees expressing their heartfelt wishes for Prime Minister Modi’s victory.
Mr. Sanjay Srivastava, President of OFBJP, emphasized that the prayer session was a demonstration of their commitment to Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and their confidence in his ability to lead India to greater heights. He underscored Prime Minister Modi’s dedication to the welfare of Indians and his steadfast leadership as reasons for their support.
According to Praveen Kumar, General Secretary of OFBJP, Prime Minister Modi’s vision and policies are steering India towards becoming a global economic powerhouse. Kumar highlighted Modi’s initiatives aimed at ensuring the welfare of all Indians, including the abrogation of Article 370, empowerment of farmers, and fostering a conducive environment for future generations.
Among the esteemed dignitaries present at the event were Treasurer Shanti Singh, Vinod Jindal, Sanjay Jha, Anoop Drolia, Vikas Arya, Venket Subramanian, Vipin Singh, Chief Anilesh Grover, Chandresh Shah, Sanjeeva Sinha, and Anurag Kumar.
The upcoming Indian election, scheduled to be held from April 19 to June 1, has garnered significant attention both domestically and internationally. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking his third consecutive term, has been at the helm of India’s leadership since 2014.
