राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग ने सुशांत सिंह केस में सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले के बाद बिहार के डीजीपी गुप्तेश्वर पाण्डेय द्वारा अभिनेत्री रिया चक्रवर्ती के संबंध में की गयी व्यक्तिगत टिप्पणी विषयक लखनऊ स्थित एक्टिविस्ट डॉ नूतन ठाकुर की शिकायत को पंजीकृत करने से मना कर दिया.
नूतन ने शिकायत में कहा था कि श्री पाण्डेय ने सुश्री रिया के लिए कहा कि उनकी बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री पर कमेन्ट करने की औकात नहीं है. उनके द्वारा एक महिला पर की गयी यह टिप्पणी स्पष्टतया अनुचित एवं आपत्तिजनक है. यह भी स्पष्ट है कि यह टिप्पणी उनके आधिकारिक दायित्व में नहीं आता है और एक शासकीय पद पर बैठा आदमी सरकारी वर्दी में इस प्रकार की व्यक्तिगत टिप्पणियां नहीं कर सकता है.
नूतन ने इसे अनुचित, आपत्तिजनक तथा अपमानजनक बताते हुए कार्यवाही की मांग की थी. महिला आयोग द्वारा उन्हें भेजे पत्र में कहा गया कि प्रकरण कोर्ट के सामने विचाराधीन है, अतः आयोग द्वारा इस पर कार्यवाही नहीं की जा सकती है.
नूतन ने इस आदेश को त्रुटिपूर्ण बताते हुए कहा है कि श्री पाण्डेय द्वारा सुश्री रिया के संबंध में की गयी टिप्पणी कोर्ट के सामने विचाराधीन नहीं है, अतः इस शिकायत को अस्वीकृत करना सही नहीं है. अतः उन्होंने दुबारा शिकायत देते हुए आयोग को इस गंभीर मामले को संज्ञान में लेने का अनुरोध किया है.
NCW refuses Rhea comment complaint, activist objects
National Women Commission has refused to register the complaint presented by Lucknow based activist Dr Nutan Thakur regarding the comments made by Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey against actress Rhea Chakravorty after the Supreme Court verdict in Sushant Singh case.
Nutan had said in her complaint that Sri Pandey commented on Ms Rhea that she does not have the “Aukat” to comment on Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. His comments against a woman are absolutely improper and indecent. It is also clear that this does not come in his charter of official duties and a person on public post cannot make such comments in official capacity about personal comments.
Calling it improper and extremely objectionable, Nutan had sought action in this case. The Commission replied that the complaint can’t be registered as it is sub-judice and adjudicated by the court.
Nutan said this refusal to register the complaint is not proper because the comments made by Sri Pandey against Ms Rhea are not sub-judice. Hence she has presented second complaint before the Commission requesting it to act in this serious matter.
