Establish strategic alliances with domestic and international publishers, content aggregators, databases, OEMs, Telcos, and other digital platforms for content licensing and monetization.

Continuously explore emerging avenues of content monetization, such as archival production, NFTs, Metaverse, and more, to identify relevant business development opportunities.

Collaborate with relevant brands and agencies to promote their affiliate marketing programs on The Hindu Group’s websites.

Develop B2B partnerships with colleges, banks, e-commerce, and tech platforms to expand the user base of The Hindu Group’s paid subscription products.

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to optimize existing business relationships.

Identify and engage potential clients through various channels, including email, phone, social media, and in-person meetings.

Conduct needs assessments and provide customized content solutions to potential clients.

Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to identify new revenue-generation opportunities.

Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, technology, and product teams, to ensure seamless client onboarding and ongoing support.

Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and presentations and negotiate and close complex commercial contracts.

Skills Required:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Digital Media/Agency domain, preferably in Content Syndication, Archival Research, Content Partnership, Affiliate Marketing, or Strategic Alliances.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Proven experience in managing and negotiating legal agreements.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

The candidate will be responsible for strategizing and executing Brand and marketing communication for the Flagship brand of THG- The Hindu. The candidate will drive the brand-building agenda and provide marketing support for all the key organizational projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and supervise the overall brand strategy and marketing communication for The Hindu.
  • Conceptualize & execute the integrated marketing campaign to achieve the brand & business goals.
  • Improving Brand equity and Brand positioning among the readers.
  • Supporting business objectives via targeted campaigns to drive specific outcomes.
  • Product specific campaigns
  • Improve readership and market penetration in priority markets through various initiatives
  • Responsible for all BTL campaigns working in conjunction with zonal teams, as well as deployment, monitoring and tracking of BTL campaigns, executed by zonal teams
  • Creating a platform for continuous reader engagement and building customer loyalty through multiple initiatives.
  • Go to market strategy for Readership Survey (IRS) and formulate market-wise plans for better market penetration.
  • Responsible for social media strategy.
  • Responsible for Consumer insights – readership surveys, industry surveys and other research efforts to gain a consumer understanding in shaping marketing, business and communication efforts.
  • Supporting the Sales team by creating compelling value propositions for advertisers/clients and to make the brand stand out in the face of competition.
  • Liaise with business verticals to provide marketing support for the key projects & initiatives.
  • Creating content for various internal platforms- THG corporate website, The Hindu Lounge, social media handle etc.
  • Ensuring optimum usage of market budget.
  • Agency management – Creative agencies, digital & social agencies, media agencies – building and maintaining relationships, evaluating agencies, and driving them to deliver goals for the brand.
  • Vendor management 

Skills Required:

  • 7-10 years of experience in corporate communication and Brand Marketing
  • Outstanding verbal & written communication skills
  • Proven experience in delivering tactical & strategic campaigns, especially within a complex business environment
  • A result-oriented, out-of-the-box thinker, adept at multitasking in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Able to engage, influence and work closely with diverse stakeholders
  • Good knowledge and understanding of current trends in media
  • Extensive knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Graduate/ Postgraduate in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing
