Dilnawaz Pasha : अमरीका की संघीय अदालत ने गुजरात दंगों के संबंध में भारत के प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के लिए सम्मन जारी किया है. मोदी पर इसका कोई असर नहीं पड़ेगा क्योंकि भारत के प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में वे अमरीकी कानूनों से ऊपर हैं. लेकिन मोदी के खिलाफ याचिका दायर करने वालों के लिए ये एक रणनीतिक जीत ज़रूर है. मोदी जब दुनिया के सामने एक स्टेट्समैन (प्रभावशाली नेता) के रूप में उभर रहे हैं ठीक उसी वक़्त उन्होंने दुनिया को गुजरात दंगों और उनमें मोदी की भूमिका की याद दिला दी है. सवाल यह भी है कि एक स्वतंत्र राष्ट्र के लोकतांत्रिक तरीके से चुने गए राष्ट्रप्रमुख के खिलाफ़ अमरीकी अदालत का समन जारी करना कहां तक सही है?

Kavita Srivastava It is in their law. Please read their law on religious freedom. So now Modi should get their law changed. Like we have laws and they are implemented for visa revocation. You should see how Indian Government applies similarly its laws on visa revocation.

Kavita Srivastava so the US was only implementing its law on religious freedom. It supports corporate crimes and does not want them prosecuted is another thing. Read that article that I have sent. The whole issue about not wanting to support India in the Nuclear programme is that they are saying take away the liability from the private suppliers. There are lots of double standards in the US, but if they have a law and they implement it, then we can oppose it, but their courts can act upon that law. so the summon on damages is through its law and the visa revocation in the past was accordingly.
Omkar Seth मैं खुद अमेरिका में हूँ और जानता हूँ कि वीसा का फॉर्म भरते वक्त आपको बेहद विस्तार से इस बात का उत्तर देना होता है कि क्या आपने आजतक कभी भी किसी साम्प्रदायिक, हिंसक, धार्मिक, आपराधिक, सामुदायिक गतिविधि में किसी भी प्रकार से भाग लिया है.. कभी किसी संस्था या सरकार से कोइ भी नाता रखा है जिसने प्रत्यक्ष या परोक्ष रूप से साम्प्रदायिक हिंसा में भाग लिया हो। अगर आपका एक भी उत्तर हाँ है तो आपका वीसा मिलना असंभव सा होता है.. पर नियति देखिये.. ऐसे सैकड़ों मुक़दमे झेल रहे व्यक्ति को (मिडिया के अनुसार इम्युनिटी मिलने तक 155 के करीब हिंसा और साम्प्रदायिकता के मुक़दमे थे उनके खिलाफ) खुद उनका राष्ट्राध्यक्ष बुला रहा है।

Kavita Srivastava exactly it is a court summon to pay damages for the death of two Americans. Don’t we demand payment of damages for caste based, religious based, gender based or ethnicity based murders and similar crimes. IT is a perfect court summon.
