एलएसआर कालेज की छात्रा को न्याय दिलाने के लिए प्रदर्शन
दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के लेडी श्रीराम कॉलेज की छात्रा ऐश्वर्या को इंसाफ दिलाने के लिए छात्रों ने शिक्षा मंत्री रमेश पोखरियाल निशंक के घर के बाहर प्रदर्शन किया। ऐश्वर्या एलएसआर कालेज की छात्रा है और वह इसलिए आत्महत्या कर लेती है क्योकि उसे पिछले एक साल से केन्द्र सरकार द्वारा छात्रवृत्ति नही दी जाती है। छात्रा का आरोप था कि वह छात्रवृत्ति नही मिलने के कारण अपनी कालेज फीस का भुगतान करने में सक्षम नही थी तथा कोरोना महामारी के कारण उसे हास्टल खाली करने के लिए मजबूर किया।
नेशनल स्टूडेंट युनियन आफॅ इंडिया (एनएसयूआई) ने एश्वर्या की मृत्यु पर दुख प्रकट किया तथा इस होनहार छात्रा की आत्महत्या का दोषी सीधे-सीधे भाजपा सरकार को दोषी ठहराया। एनएसयूआई ने एक बयान में कहा कि भाजपा सरकार द्वारा पिछले कई सालों से लगातार छात्रवृत्ति को रोका जा रहा है जिसके कारण छात्र अपनी पढ़ाई सुचारू रूप से जारी नही कर पा रहे है तथा आत्महत्या के लिए मजबूर हो रहे है।
आज हुए विरोध प्रदर्शन में एनएसयूआई के राष्ट्रीय महासचिव नागेश करियप्पा जी, राष्ट्रीय सचिव विनोद झाकर,लोकेश चुग, आशीष लांबा,मौहम्मद अली,गगनप्रीत सिंह, दीपांशु सागर मौजूद रहे।
एनएसयूआई की राष्ट्रीय प्रभारी रूची गुप्ता का कहना है कि केन्द्र सरकार के पास आठ हज़ार करोड़ रूपये से ज्यादा का हवाईजहाज़ खरीदने के पैसे है, सेंट्रल विस्टा बनाने के लिए फंड है लेकिन देश का भविष्य उज्जवल करने वाले छात्रों को छात्रवृत्ति देने के लिए पैसे नही है। मोदी सरकार छात्रों के हक का पैसा खा रही है तथा अपनी जेब भर रही है।
एनएसयूआई के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष नीरज कुंदन का कहना है कि एलएसआर कालेज की छात्रा ऐश्वर्या द्वारा आत्महत्या के लिए मजबूर होना वर्तमान सरकार की विफल नीतियों का सबसे बड़ा उदाहरण है। भाजपा सरकार से हम पिछले कई सालों से छात्रवृत्ति जारी करने की मांग कर रहे है तथा लगातार विरोध प्रदर्शन भी कर रहे है लेकिन केन्द्र की मोदी सरकार को कोई फर्क नही पड़ा। अभी भी लाखों छात्र सिर्फ इस भरोसे है कि कब सरकार छात्रवृत्ति जारी करे और हम कब पढ़ाई शुरू करे।
एनएसयूआई केन्द्र से तुरंत देशभर के छात्रों की छात्रवृत्ति जारी करने का अनुरोध करती है क्योकि हम नही चाहते की ऐश्वर्या की तरह किसी और छात्र को आत्महत्या के लिए मजबूर होना पड़े। अगर भाजपा सरकार हमारी मांग नही मानती है तो हम जल्द ही देशव्यापी प्रदर्शन करेंगे।

Scholarships are to reward a student’s academic achievement and educational prowess. Be it while starting your career or studying in high school to grow new abilities, receiving a scholarship is a prominent achievement.
The Indian education system begets issues in it. One of the major issues is the increase in the cost of college, school, and university fees. The various scholarships are the reason why students from every sector of the financial food chain can dream of quality education. They depend on these grants to meet their educational expenses.
The story of an LSR student from Telangana, a topper of her school, was an ‘Inspire’ Scholarship recipient. She committed suicide after being denied scholarship for over a year by the government. She had written to the administration about the problems she was facing but unfortunately, she received no response from the authorities. This is just the recent example of how imperative the scholarships are for the students. A calculation of the general expenses borne by a hostel resident of the college suggests that the families spend more than Rs 1 lakh per year on studies and other educational expenses. And when the government delays the provision of funds to the students, it puts them and their families under immense pressure.
These unfortunate events raise very serious questions about the priorities of the government of India, wherein they have ample amount of funds to allocate to the renovation of the Central Vista, purchase of two aeroplanes for the Prime Minister worth 20000 crores and 8500 crore rupees respectively, but forget about the promises made to the highly deserving and talented students of India.
