EXTORTION RACKET BUSTED AND MASTERMIND ARRESTED
It is stated that an advocate r/o GK 1 submitted a complaint at PS GK wherein it was alleged that some persons on behalf of a digital channel namely JanSatya having its office in FilmCity Noida had conducted a sting operation upon him and now were demanding Rs. 5 crores else they would telecast the sting operations.
Alleged persons namely A K Chaudhary and his associates also visited his office and tried to get details about his family etc.
On the basis of his
complaint and preliminary verification of facts,a case vide FIR No. 357/20 u/s 384/34 IPC was registered at PS GK and investigation was taken up.
Afsar Ali @ A K Chaudhry s/o Abdul Ali r/o. Mahagun modern sector 78 Noida Aged 37 who was running a digital channel namely Jansatya News, office-cum-studio Global News Media Pvt. Ltd at Film city Noida was arrested in the above said case after due investigation.
Accused is being presented in the Court today.
It has also surfaced during investigation that he is running a digital channel at Film city Noida
Modus operandi
The accused in connivance with his conduits and with a team of small time photographers and other aspiring job seekers would identify prospective targets on the basis of their lavish life style and swanky cars etc.
Thereafter they would pose themselves as buyers of big farmhouse lands etc and would conduct sting ops on some or other pretext and then hope that the victims will settle minor disputes and legal hassles .
In the entire process which may continue for months , video was made and accused was called for his VERSION .
Based upon potential,a demand for money was raised and process of imtimidation and demands started.
Accused A K CHAUDHRY @ Afsar Ali has various previous involvements of MV Theft and cheating in Delhi and UP.
He is reported be involved in the following cases:
